nobody knows you
they only see the skin and hear these words
a golden skeleton with red wine for blood
swept away in the heartbreak of a flood
as our ancient ancestors pulled themselves up out from the mud
a dignified defiance through love
a track through the darkness that will lead you above
the world, the world,
the world.

I think I wrote my first serious poem when I was about 21, 22 yrs ago [omg] and then I started writing a lot more in the 2000's. I just write off and on now.
