Pet squirrel

When I was younger I went into my back yard with some sunflower seeds when I saw this squirrel in one of the trees back there. I sat there calling it and holding my sunflower seeds out to it for about a half hour and finally it came down and took one from my hand. Soon after it let me hold it and everything. I had it for about a week. I would introduce it to my friends and it would let them hold it and it always loved to climb around on you and snuggle up inside of the hood of a jacket or hoodie. I always kept it in this wooden box lined with grass and such in the shed in my back yard. I don't remember what I fed him regularly. I had a blast with him and after that week I came home from school to check on him and he was gone, I never saw him again.

I'm sure he was fine though. My dad once nursed a baby squirrel back to health when I was little. If I remember right I think it was a red squirrel. It's looked redish anyways. It was so cute! I can't remember if it lived or not though. If it did die my dad probably would never had told me cause I was little and very sensitive.
