Luna's Spirits

Luna was an odd girl. She never had many friends, maybe one or two. Luna
was not like other girls. She loved to get dirty, wrestle with the
neighborhood boys but most disturbing was her fascination with
dissecting dead animals. She would pick up road kill and explore it. She
did this secretly so her parents had no idea. She also could see the
dead. She would talk with a spirit named Vicky all the time until the
day Vicky told Luna to go get her dad's pistol from his dresser. Luna
refused and that was when Vicky decided to harm Luna. Luna would get
deep scratches and bruises but always hide them from her parents and
friends because she didn't want to be more of a "freak". She's tortured
enough for being weird.

One day Luna's friend, Sarah, decided to walk
home with Luna from school. Everything was going fine until Luna froze.
Sarah stopped and turned around and asked if she was ok. "My back!" Luna
cried. Sarah carefully lifted up the back of Luna's shirt and low and
behold there were six bleeding cuts. Sarah screamed and ran away. "God
damn you Vicky!" Luna cried. "There goes another friend." She starts to
continue to walk home when she sees this shadow with a top hat that was
darker than the blackest black and it was in broad daylight! It just
stood there are watched her. "Go away!" She screamed. But it didn't go
away, instead it stalked her to her house.

Once Luna was home she went
straight up to her room to start on homework when all of a sudden she
feels breathing down the back of her neck! She quickly turns around to
see a huge black mass hovering behind her. She could feel herself get
weaker and weaker. She was frozen. Then the mass slowly made its way up
to the ceiling. Luna snapped out of it and looked up. "Oh God!" she
yelled. Lune ran out of the house as fast as she could. She didn't know
where she was going just as long as she got far away! She finally
stopped at a stop sign a few blocks over. Her mind was racing. She
didn't know what to do.

As she was catching her breath she looked to her
let and saw the Shadow man! It quickly darted behind a tree. And when
she started to look around more she noticed Shadow Men behind every
tree! Her heart was racing. She could barely move. But she had to get
out of there! She starts to walk slowly down the street when the Shadow
people come darting out from the trees right towards Luna! She started
to run but they were too fast. They grabbed her and started to rip out
her hair, claw her and bite her. She cried in pain and fear. Then all of
a sudden they were gone!

Luna ran home hoping her parents were there.
She reached to door step and walked in the front door. Her parents were
sitting at the dinning room table staring at their plates. "Mom, Dad?"
Luna replied. Her parents did not answer. She walked up to the table and
tapped her mom on the shoulder and when her mom turned around she had
no eyes! Luna screamed and ran out of the house. Vicky stopped her in
the driveway. "Where do you think your going?" Vicky asked with a smirk
on her face. "Please just stop!" Luna cried. Vicky laughed. "I'll stop
if you will do something for me and I will get the shadows off your back
too." Vicky offered "What do you want?" Luna asked.
"I want you to kill the man that murdered me" Luna really didn't want to
do it but she was desperate.

Luna stole her father's car and gun and
Vicky rode with her to tell her where her murderer lives. They pulled
up into a motel. "His number is eight and his name is Randy" Vicky said.
Luna hid the gun in her pants and knocked on door number eight. Randy
opened the door "What the fuck do you want?" he said annoyed. "Can I
come in? It's important" Luna conned Randy to let her in. As soon as
Randy shut the door Luna pulled out her gun and shot him but it hit him
in the shoulder. He charged after her trying to grab for the gun. There
was a huge struggle. Luna fired the gun until it was empty and missed
him every time from the struggle. Luna tried to get up but Randy pushed
her on the floor so hard it knocked her out. Then Randy grabbed a metal
bat and started bashing Luna's head in. As she lay dieing she saw the
shadow people all around her whispering. The shadow people walked up to
her and lifted her soul from her body and carried her off into the
unknown.
