Talking to our friends

Plants listen but they are much wiser than we are. They have been around since the beginning of time and we have systematicly hurt and destroyed them instead of living with them. Fortunately some of us have become wiser and try to prevent this atrocity. If you learn to become in tune with nature you can sometimes hear them and you would be amazed at what you might learn. My 4 year old neice talks to them and helps them when they are injured. I have been trimming trees in my yard and out of the blue she comes running out screaming at me to stop hurting them. She must be hearing their cries. She has actually taught me to apologize to the trees I'm forced to trim(you can learn alot from a child). Whether it makes them grow faster or not I couldn't say but it certainly makes their existance less lonely for them and much more enlightning for us. Give it a try sometime and make your own decision but really listen or you'll miss it.

My grandmama taught me the same thing. She was a huge plant lover. her yard was like a forest of trees and flowers. She would always talk to her plants as well and they were always beautiful and in good health.

I spend a lot of time here in the woods and although I've never been much for talking to plants I do listen to the woods. I can hear the trees and the rivers and the animals all communicating with me and each other. I hunt and I fish but I eat everything I harvest and I thank the animals/fishes spirit before each meal. I could sit in a deer stand everyday of my life and just watch the forest come alive. It's amazing what happens around you when nothing knows you are there! I highly recommend it!

Plants are cooler than most people I've known.

No one much likes letting them grow anymore do they...
